I have been redoing my first floor bathroom. It is pretty small and I have been putting it off for some time...ok maybe 2 years or so. I bought this shadowbox a long time ago cheap and had always thought to pull it apart and put something else in it. The little pots were glued in there pretty well but, I pried them out and replaced them with these little wood birdhouse cutouts I painted and attached letters to. I used my favorite Amy Butler paper for the back. Love, love, love her stuff.
I sure do love the cricut I got for Christmas. I have been using it quite a bit, especially for someone that doesn't scrapbook! Here is a quick card I made for the little neighbor girl's birthday.
I have a secret sister in MOPS so, this last week I stamped some tiles with some Stayzon ink to make coasters and made a box with my new cricut. The paper is from K and company, isn't it cute?! MOPS got snowed out last week, of course, so I will have to wait until later in the month to give it to her.
My friend 'N' from knitting group is cleaning out her craft stuff. (I should take my cues from her!) She had posted on Ravelry that she had some rubber stamps she was giving away and I said I would LOVE them! Boy, was I surprised when I walked into Panera's last night to TWO giant bags full of stamps. I am in crafter's heaven!
I started sorting through them last night into categories and discovered lots of great little boy stamps. Dump trucks, cars, tools and all kids of various construction things.
So, this is what me and little boy have been up to this morning.
A new post. Whaaat??? Pattern: Amy Butler weekender bag. Fabric: Amy Butler Belle line in Gothic Rose: burgandy. Lining some random JoAnn fabric.
This is a challenging pattern and mine is far from perfect but, I am happy with how it turned out. The only modification I made was a little pocket for my keys in the lining.
I decided to clean out my cabinets today. It turned out to be a good day for it. Unfortunately my son is sick so he just was laying around watching cartoons and this left me with some time on my hands. First cabinet before and after: Second cabinet before and after: Third cabinet before and after: Fourth cabinet before and after: Fifth cabinet before and after: The reason I wanted to rearrange was to clear off my counters a little so here they are: I even got a bonus of reclaiming three containers and one basket!
